EN: The hotel Le Clos d'Alésia is situated in the south of Paris in Rue Friant. It is a small hotel in a quiet side road of a residential zone. The hotel is clean and good value. The offer breakfast but have no restaurant for the rest of the day. Also there are hardly any additional features that you hardly ever would have time to use while visiting a city like Paris anyway.

The area is quiet and friendly. There are a few nice parks and lots of restaurants in the area, but none of them are crowded with tourist. They are all authentic in the sense of primarily used by the locals. No tourist scam and people (staff and visitors) are more laid back and friendlier than in the tourist hot spots in the center. And still just a few minutes Métro ride away from Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysées or Notre-Dame.

All in all, the hotel if nice enough, but the real value is the surroundings. Very close to the center, but in a area without tourist crowds and long queues. And there are places in the area that are worth a visit as well.

L'hôtel est propre et d'un bon rapport qualité-prix. Il propose un petit déjeuner mais n'a pas de restaurant pour le reste de la journée. De plus, il n'y a guère de services supplémentaires que vous n'aurez de toute façon jamais le temps d'utiliser lors d'une visite dans une ville comme Paris.

Le quartier est calme et accueillant. Il y a quelques beaux parcs et beaucoup de restaurants dans le quartier, mais aucun n'est bondé de touristes. Ils sont tous authentiques, c'est-à-dire qu'ils sont principalement utilisés par les locaux. Il n'y a pas d'arnaque touristique et les gens (personnel et visiteurs) sont plus décontractés et plus amicaux que dans les hauts lieux touristiques du centre. L'hôtel n'est qu'à quelques minutes de métro de la Tour Eiffel, des Champs Elysées ou de Notre-Dame.

Dans l'ensemble, l'hôtel est assez agréable, mais la vraie valeur réside dans les environs. Il est très proche du centre, mais dans un quartier où il n'y a pas de foules de touristes ni de longues files d'attente. Et il y a des endroits dans les environs qui valent la peine d'être visités.
