"The convent of Santa Clara is located in Estepa, a municipality in the province of Seville. The convent of Santa Clara is a cloistered convent founded in the 13th century by the Order of the Poor Clares, a female religious order. The convent has had a long history and has undergone several renovations and modifications over the centuries.

The convent building has architectural elements from different periods, including Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements. Its church stands out, which has a baroque façade and an interior decorated in the same style, as we can see in the image above.

The convent is home to a community of Poor Clare nuns who are dedicated to prayer, contemplation and religious life. Due to its closed nature, it is not possible to visit all areas of the convent, but it is possible to visit the church at certain times.

Estepa is known for its tradition in the production of sweets, mantecados and Polvorones, and nougat and the nuns of the Convent of Santa Clara are famous for making these products in an artisanal way. These are for sale, since they cook them themselves and sell them from the convent itself, where they are provided to buyers through a traditional wheel."
