The painted timber and tiled hexagonal
Cook Park Rotunda (aka Gazebo) is fairly central Cook Park in Orange. There is a nicely landscaped hedge out to a concrete border for the Rotunda. It is not far from the extensive Aviary. A cousin of mine who is a member of the Orange Town Brass Band has played there many times. As the grey-white marble table at the right-hand side of the stairs to elevated platform states, this was built in 1908:

By the year 2008 Orange was no longer a 'town', and declared a city, so the white marble tablet to the left of the stairs has this centennial inscription:
CENTENARY
Brass Celebration
March 8-9, 2008
City of Orange
Brass Band
______
From the Central Western Daily News of 6th March, 2008, the weekend long celebration included three other brass bands of NSW, with a total of 150 brass instruments - so obviously this Rotunda would have been a tad small for EVERYONE! [ex-Monuments Australia link below]
