Este convento situado en el Cerro de San Cristóbal fue fundado por el segundo marqués de Estepa, D. Juan Bautista Centurión, tan solo cuatro años después del Convento de Santa Clara.

"Este convento situado en el Cerro de San Cristóbal fue fundado por el segundo marqués de Estepa, D. Juan Bautista Centurión, tan solo cuatro años después del Convento de Santa Clara.
También destaca su campanario de estilo neoclásico, a la derecha del acceso a la iglesia. Ya en el interior, podemos encontrar la imagen de San Francisco de Asís, atribuida al escultor Luis Salvador Carmona, el mismo autor de Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, talla que hace su estación de penitencia el Viernes Santo por las calles de Estepa.
En el exterior de la iglesia podemos contemplar su portada protobarroca, así como el frontón partido sobre ésta, rematado con un azulejo de la Escuela Sevillana con el motivo de San Francisco."

"This convent located on the Cerro de San Cristóbal was founded by the second Marquis of Estepa, D. Juan Bautista Centurión, just four years after the Convent of Santa Clara.
Its neoclassical style bell tower also stands out, to the right of the access to the church. Already inside, we can find the image of Saint Francis of Assisi, attributed to the sculptor Luis Salvador Carmona, the same author of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, a carving that makes its penitence station on Good Friday through the streets of Estepa.
On the outside of the church we can see its proto-baroque façade, as well as the pediment split above it, topped with a tile from the Sevillian School with the motif of San Francisco."
