"Fue mandado a construir por el general Narváez a finales del siglo XIX.
Es de estilo mudéjar, en una sola nave con dos ábsides a cada lado. La cubierta es de teja árabe y dispone de una torre campanario. Los recursos para su construcción fueron procedentes de Cuba cuando todavía era una isla española.
La antigua iglesia de Zafarraya fue objeto de un terremoto el año 1844 y se conservan las ruinas de aquel entonces."

"It was ordered to be built by General Narváez at the end of the 19th century.
It is in the Mudejar style, with a single nave with two apses on each side. The roof is made of Arabic tiles and has a bell tower. The resources for its construction came from Cuba when it was still a Spanish island.
The old church of Zafarraya was the object of an earthquake in 1844 and the ruins from that time are preserved."
