The Dedicated Bench has five narrowish wooden slats for the backrest and five for the seat of the bench, which had been lacquered, but they are now a little weathered. It has dark green painted Cook Park themed cast iron ends for the arm rests. It is fixed to a rectangular concrete pad just off to the side one of the bisecting gravel paths through the Park. The weathered engraved plaque is screwed (with two Philips head screws) to the top slat of the backrest, and the inscription reads:
