"The town of Periana has Arabic-style architecture, like almost all the towns in the Axarquía of Malaga, architecture that is also noticeable in its Church, the Mudejar-style Church of San Isidro Labrador.
Eclectic neo-Mudejar building that is made up of three naves, where the side ones are very small, giving importance to the main or intermediate one, presenting a prominent transept in plan. They are divided by pointed arches that rest on cast iron columns that rest on stone ashlars, a typical element of the 19th century. Both the side naves, the presbytery and the transept are covered with false cross vaults, the central nave with wooden reinforcement. At the foot of the temple stands the doorway or façade made of exposed brick, accessing the temple through a lowered arch, above which a twin opening of horseshoe arches with an oculus appears, and then a triangular pediment rises, crowned by a belfry. with two openings.

A curious detail of this church is the flooring inside, which is made up of small pieces of polychrome terrazzo, like tesserae, which make up a series of geometric drawings that form fretwork.
