"La ciudad de València alberga el Museo Nacional de Cerámica y Artes Suntuarias González Martí, que fue inaugurado en el año 1954. Este museo surgió a raíz de la donación al Estado de la colección de Manuel González Martí y su esposa Amelia Cuñat y Monleón; de ahí viene el nombre de este centro.
Los fondos que alberga el museo son de lo más variados. Además de cerámica encontrarás mobiliario, objetos decorativos y carrozas, textiles, indumentaria y complementos, pintura o escultura. Con el paso del tiempo se han ido recabando otras donaciones que han hecho crecer el catálogo del museo.
Hay 3 plantas del palacio que puedes visitar y la exhibición de la cerámica se sitúa en la segunda. Ahí verás la Sala de Culturas, con una introducción al mundo de la cerámica que nos aporta contexto cronológico desde la Prehistoria. Hay una sala sobre el mundo musulmán con cazuelas, ollas para cocina, cuencos y fuentes; otra sala de cerámica cristiana, una mudéjar, una medieval y otras modernas que nos muestran la belleza de la policromía, la cerámica pictorialista e industrial y los movimientos del siglo XX. Recibiremos una auténtica lección de Historia a través de la cerámica, ¡es fascinante!"

"The city of València is home to the González Martí National Museum of Ceramics and Luxury Arts, which was inaugurated in 1954.
