This section of the Berlin Wall was bought by an Australian businessman who did not have the appropriate place to display it. The section of the wall was placed in storage and the owner was not able to be located.
After an expression of interest process, the Goethe Institute was successful in gaining approval to place this important monument in a small public park next to their headquarters.
It has been in this location since 23 November 2019.
