This sculpture, titled Nanōn, portrays a Cheyenne scout on horseback. The sculpture is atop "Red Hill," on the west side of Highway 270 about five miles south of Watonga. The scout is protrayed as astride a horse and holding a spear. There are also three Christian crosses nearby.

The sculpture is visible (barely) from the highway. Look for the crosses; the sculpture is to the left (south). Direct access is... problematic. There is a geocache atop the hill, and the CO states on that page that access is permitted (or, at least, has never been denied) and to stay on the north side of the fence. Yes, you have to hop a fence (which is potentially trespassing) and possibly evade angry bulls, then traverse the steep hillside. So put your dedication to waymarking to the test, right here.
