County of chimney: Montgomery County
Location of chimney: Deer Run Rd., about 4miles W od Danville

Even thought it is only 4 miles west of Danville, you cannot get to this site from Danville. You have to get on the Interstate (I-70) and travel west to Williamsburg exit (Callaway County), go a mile north of the highway, they turn east on Old US-40. Yep, t Deer Run Road was US-40 in the old days. You then have to drive about 9 miles back east on the old highway (now falling apart) to this lonely house with the lonely chimney.

I do not have aq wild story for this one. MY imagination "jeans" are asleep for some reason. I did massive research into find the fire report, but found nothing. Even called the fire prevention district in Callaway County, they had nothing.

The chimney is built with concrete blocks, and covered with stones and faux-stones. The footprint of the house (on Google) seems to have been a very large house. This is private property, and entering is not a good idea. The chimney is fully visible from the road, which ends at the driveway for this property and a turnaround is needed, and that is public land.
