"Su construcción se llevó a cabo con material procedente del artillado de las Rías Altas, teniendo como objetivo proteger el puerto de Vigo.

De la época de la Guerra Civil permanecieron operativos dos pozos. Tras la llegada de la democracia sirvió de cuartel a jóvenes en servicio militar y, finalmente, fue abandonada en los años 80. La zona de seguridad se suprimió en 1998 por Real Decreto, pero en la actualidad aun pertenece al Ministerio de Defensa."

After the Civil War, two pits remained operational. Later, with the arrival of democracy, it served as quarters for young men doing their military service, and it was eventually abandoned in the 80s.
