EN: "This coastal gun battery was built out of material from the artillery of the Rías Altas, with the purpose of protecting the port of Vigo.

After the Civil War, two pits remained operational. Later, with the arrival of democracy, it served as quarters for young men doing their military service, and it was eventually abandoned in the 80s. Although this security zone was abolished in 1998 by Royal Decree, the construction still belongs to the Ministry of Defence."
