The water flows from the upper area into a large, covered basin about 2 meters behind the fountain.
Over an overflow, the excess water flows down a metal pipe into the fountain. The excess water flows away from the fountain and finds its way down the road to the nearby Flonterbach.
The Flonterbach flows into a lake 500 meters away.
It is decorated and maintained with wooden crocodiles and several benches complete the scene. There is also a memorial to the Schillingen/Heddert 72-hour youth group from 2009.
A task to the local youth groups that are more common in this area.
The task was:
"72 hours action of the group Schillingen/Heddert. The task the group was given is: "Clean the fountain and beautify the surroundings on the road to the recreation area Schillingen. Put up rest benches for hikers and carve a crocodile from a tree trunk." The group consists of 57 children and young people from Schillingen and Heddert."
A fantastic geocache GC84G2Q can also be found at this location.
