This modest veterans memorial is just inside the east entrance to Clayton Memorial Cemetery. There are actually two separate memorials, but will be considered as one for this waymark. There is a brass plaque on the flagpole that names three specific veterans and one war, with additional phrasing to honor all veterans. Behind the flagpole is a series of eight iron silhouettes representing the Five Armed Services, the Merchant Marine, POW/MIA, and a general veterans memorial.
