Le Parc du Boisé-Jean-Milot est situé dans l’arrondissement de Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. Le site est bordé au sud-est par la rue Bélanger, à l’est par la rue Jean-Milot et au nord par l’avenue des Halles. Le site est localisé au nord-ouest du Parc Félix-Leclerc et à l’est derrière le terrain du Carrefour Langelier.

Le nom de ce parc provient de Jean Millot, mais il n'est pas clair duquel Jean Millot, car il y en a eu plusieurs dans l'histoire du Québec. Également, la date de création de ce parc reste incertain. On suppose qu'il a été crée dans les années 1970 ou plus tard..

Le parc a une superficie d'environ 6 hectares. En plus de la partie boisée, le parc compte un marais et un champ herbacé. On y retrouve quelques douze sentiers d'une longueur de 4 km. C’est un paradis pour les insectes et les 85 espèces d’oiseaux recensées.

Le parc du Boisé-Jean-Milot est un lieu privilégié pour se détendre, profiter des attraits de la nature ou pratiquer des loisirs en plein air.

Chaque année, au moins une centaine d'événements de plein air y sont organisés.

Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve est un arrondissement de la ville de Montréal. Il est d'une superficie de 24,5 km2 et a une population de 136 024 habitants (en 2016).
