The Oliver Cemetery is located within the Okanagan-Similkameen Regional District. The cemetery was established in the late 1800s as the first known burial was Millie Porter in 1870.

In 1998, a new memorial garden with a gazebo was added to provide families an area to gather and give comfort and support at this greatest time of need.

There is a new Scattering Garden that has five large pedestals with plaques that name the individuals that family members have scattered their ashes. There are over 500 individual plaque inscribed with the individual's name. The pedestals were sponsored by the Oliver Elks Lodge 267 and the Kiwanis.

Reviewing the roster at the cemetery, the book lists over 3,800 interments.

Oliver Cemetery is a community cemetery divided in eight sections. Jean Henderson is located in Sumac the newest section. The cemetery is very well maintained and Jean Henderson is one of many centenarians located in the cemetery.
