The earlier school buildings were constructed between 1880 and 1882 of brick with cement detailing and it has a symmetrical facade with projecting gabled end wings and a belltower above the central entrance. The northern infants school building dating from 1890 is also brick built, both buildings have a roof clad with corrugated iron.
