History of the "SOROPTIMIST Single Club della Repubblica di San Marino":

«On April 1st 1989, in the presence of godmother Nella Bruschi Venturi of the Rimini Club, the President of the European Federation (SIE), Jeanne Marie Bosia, declared the Soroptimist Single Club of the Republic of San Marino established.

The Club was born from the will of a group of San Marino women, who felt the desire to meet and strengthen their friendship to allocate their energy to the study of new ideas and the implementation of projects useful to society and international solidarity.

At the time of its establishment, the Club of San Marino opted for the recognition of its individuality as a Single Club, corresponding to the state physiognomy of the Republic of San Marino, adopting the emblem of the three pens as its symbol which since then has accompanied that of the International Soroptimist.

Since the Foundation, all the members have worked with commitment, giving their time in the name of the principles of Brotherhood, Solidarity and Understanding.»
