Decorating signal boxes, the bland, aluminum safety cabinets that hold traffic-control equipment, has been a trend in Arizona cities. These unique designs add a splash of color and whimsy to the otherwise mundane structures near intersections.

The artist selected a splash of Arizona sunrise view for the front of the box. Pictured along with saguaro, barrel, and prickle-pear cactus. Also, some of the native wildlife of butterfly’s, hummingbirds, quail, and rabbits.
The back and sides show a nighttime view with some of the creatures of the dark like scorpions, and rattlesnakes.
