The AGFC Janet Huckabee Arkansas River Valley Nature Center includes an extensive trail system that winds through the Arkansas River Valley. This Flora and Fauna Information Sign is on the "boardwalk" portion of one of the trails. In addition to information about this habitat, the sign also identifies both flora and fauna that you might encounter here. Included are the Eastern Collared Lizard, the Ornate Box Turtle, the Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, the Great Plains Narrow-Mouth Toad, the Non-Banded Armadillo, and the Greater Roadrunner. Plants listed include the Eastern Prickly Pear Cactus, the Arkansas Yucca, and the Missouri Bladderpod. Bladderpod? Is this Arkansas or Hogwarts?
