1933, April - opening of the pits for the foundations of the new Valença Customs Delegation building, next to the International Bridge; May - the work was awarded to António José Rodrigues, from Porto, for 153. 800$00, and it was thought that it would be completed in September; 30 people were employed on the work; the historic "traulitênia" tree was cut down as a result of the work; July - work was suspended due to changes to the initial project; October - work resumed; 1955 - Completion of the construction work for the Trapicheiras Passage checkpoint, by the Delegation for Prison Buildings, the Republican and Tax Guards and Customs; 1957 - the project for the construction was approved and will be carried out as soon as the services are provisionally installed, since the new station will be installed on the site of the old facilities; 1959 - completion of the station's provisional facilities and the start of construction of the new facilities, which required the purchase of a private building by the Delegation for the Construction of Prison Buildings, the Republican and Tax Guards and Customs; October - DGEMN sent the City Council a collection of drawings relating to the project for the new facilities of the Valença Border Station; December 10 - the contract for the construction of the new Valença border station, next to the international bridge, was awarded, with the base bid being 3. 317,160 and a provisional deposit of 82,930; 1960, May - it was decided that José Gastão Seixas would create a ceramic panel in bas-relief for the station for 30 escudos; 1962, August 31 - the border station and the Pousada de São Teotónio were inaugurated by the President of the Republic and the facilities were blessed by the auxiliary bishop of Braga, D.
