1933, Abril - abertura dos caboucos para os alicerces do novo edifício da Delegação Aduaneira de Valença, junto à Ponte Internacional; Maio - adjudicação da obra a António José Rodrigues, do Porto, por 153.800$00, pensando-se que ficaria concluída em Setembro; empregou nas obras 30 pessoas; por causa da obra, foi cortada a árvore histórica "traulitênia"; Julho - suspensão das obras, devido a alterações ao projecto inicial; Outubro - recomeço dos trabalhos; 1955 - Conclusão da obra de construção do posto de controle de Passagem das Trapicheiras, pela Delegação nas Obras de Edifícios de Cadeias, das Guardas Republicana e Fiscal e das Alfândega; 1957 - foi aprovado o projecto para a construção, cuja execução será levada a efeito, logo que se faça a instalação provisória dos serviços, uma vez que a nova estação vai ser instalada no local das antigas instalações; 1959 - conclusão das instalações provisórias da estação, e início da construção das novas instalações, para o que foi necessária a aquisição de um prédio particular, pela Delegação nas Obras de Edifícios de Cadeias, das Guardas Republicana e Fiscal e das Alfândegas; Outubro - DGEMN remeteu à Câmara Municipal uma colecção de peças desenhadas relativas ao projecto das novas instalações da Estação Fronteiriça de Valença; 10 Dezembro - arrematação da empreitada da construção da nova estação fronteiriça de Valença, junto à ponte internacional, sendo a base de licitação de 3.317.160$00 e o depósito provisório de 82.930$00; 1960, Maio - decide-se que José Gastão Seixas elaboraria, por 30 contos, um painel em cerâmica, em baixo relevo, destinado à estação; 1962, 31 Agosto - inauguração da Estação fronteiriça e da Pousada de São Teotónio pelo Presidente da República e respectiva benção das instalações pelo bispo auxiliar de Braga, D. Francisco Maria da Silva."
