Foreign trees in Åland's nature. It is located in Doktorskogen, where an Arboretum has been created on a 1.7 km long walking route. Here you choose the directions yourself. Along the trail you can learn about a number of foreign species, most of them planted in the 1930s. Information boards tell you which tree types you see.

Terrain: Easy. There can be a bit of swamp on the paths and the terrain varies in height.
Signposts: White-topped poles.

An arboretum can be briefly described as a collection of planted trees and shrubs of both native and foreign species. The purpose is to provide information about appearance, growth, distribution and genetics of the trees.

Enjoy nature! Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footsteps.
