PT: "Fonte de espaldar construída no início do séc. 19 e reformada em 1867, conforme a data na cartela, período em que, provavelmente, foi deslocada. Caraterizada pela austeridade das linhas, possui corpo de cantaria, definido por pilastras toscanas, coroadas por pináculos, terminado em frontão sem retorno, contendo cartela com duas bicas e uma outra, oval, com data relativa a obras, flanqueado por duas alas laterais planas, em meia empena, em alvenaria, tendo adossado dois bancos de pedra. As sucessivas modificações do traçado e ajardinamento da avenida onde a fonte se insere devem ter-lhe provocado algumas alterações, nomeadamente na perda do tanque, que atualmente é muito pequeno e rente ou rebaixado relativamente ao pavimento da avenida. A parte inferior do espaldar evidencia também algumas mudanças quanto às bicas e canalização da água. As alas laterais deverão ter sido construídos para sustentação das terras da esplanada e aquando da sua implantação naquele local. "

The successive changes to the layout and landscaping of the avenue where the fountain is located must have caused some alterations, particularly the loss of the tank, which is now very small and flush with or lower than the avenue sidewalk. The lower part of the back also shows some changes to the spouts and water pipes. The side wings must have been built to support the terrace's land when it was installed there."
