"La iglesia de Santa María de se levantó sobre una antigua mezquita musulmana en el siglo xvi para convertirse en la iglesia de Santa María o del Rabal.
En 2017 se ha restaurado el cuadrante solar o reloj de sol.
Estás ubicado en la cara oeste, y por tanto cubre las horas aproximadamente desde el mediodía hasta el atardecer.

En la cara sur, a una muy baja altura - aproximadamente un metro del suelo - figura inciso el número "I2", de escritura similar a las cifras del cuadrante solar (siglo XVIII).
Probablemente se trate de una meridiana, o reloj de sol que indicase exclusivamente las doce horas, el mediodía, el cambio de fecha en la sociedad tradicional.
