This cast concrete sculpture was created in 2002 to honour the memory of local resident Ken Manton, "who loved this park and the dogs". It is in the form of a life-sized wooden stump, which contains a drinking fountain for people and a water fountain for dogs. The stump sculpture also includes many hidden animals for children to find: bugs, lizards, squirrels, and even a bear cub (or is it a wolf?) peeks out from the bottom of the stump.
