The Five Civilized Tribes of Oklahoma Lighthorse monument is dedicated to the tribal law enforcement agencies that worked closely with the US Marshals to capture fugitives during the frontier period. The 13-foot tall bronze monument, which depicts a Native American law enforcement officer astride a horse, was crafted by Sallisaw artist Daniel Horsechief.
