 Description of Memorial: The memorial is a black granite monument. At the top of the monument are the Five Seals of the Five Armed Services, and the emblems of the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary, with an image of an elderly beteran. The text is the poem given above. Nearby is a small statue of a soldier. In front of the monument are three flagpoles.
