"It was the old parish before the construction of the Church of the Assumption, and it is built on the same site as the Islamic mosque. Its construction probably dates from the 13th century and it has a rectangular plan, to which an apse was later added semicircular in the presbytery.29 Currently it houses the image of San Blas, patron saint of the town.

Located in the Plaza de San Blas, in the historic center of the Villa, next to the Peña and under the castle, today it houses the image of San Blas, Patron of the Villa. During the Middle Ages it was the parish of the town of Sax. It can be located within the so-called “reconquest hermitages”, a type of construction that consisted of a covered portico, a nave with walls, diaphragms with pointed arches and gabled roofs, and which allows us to place its construction in the 13th and 14th centuries.

The Hermitage of San Blas is rectangular in plan, currently with a semicircular apse in the presbytery, which used to be rectangular, and is divided into four sections separated by large semicircular transverse arches. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the baroque belfry where the bell tower is located was built.

The doors of the hermitage, large and very well worked and carved, have a superimposed ornament on both leaves with the symbols of San Blas, Bishop of Sebaste: the crosier and the miter".
