This cemetery sits on Bureau of Land Management land, and served as the burial site for the residents of the gold mining ghost town of Miners Delight. The ghost town, which consists of several well-preserved buildings that are open to the public to view via a short hike to the north, was founded in 1867 as Hamilton City and was renamed Miners Delight the following year. According to a historic marker located near Atlantic City, the last residents of the town departed in the 1970s.
It is unclear as to how many individuals are interred here. Only one headstone remains standing, and there are three fenced-in areas within the boundary of the cemetery (the Bureau of Land Management has constructed a wooden split rail fence around the cemetery to mark its boundary). The small cemetery is completely overgrown by sagebrush and several small pine trees.
