Djävulsberget or Devils hill is Bomarsund's highest point. Here you are 62 meters above sea level.
There is a nice view out over the sea, and several parts of the former Bomarsund fortification can be seen in the distance.
It is actually easy to hike to Devil's Hill as there is a gravel road through the forest. It starts at Bomarsund's visitor centre.
The gravel road was made by the Russians who between 1832 and 1854 built the Bomarsund fortress in the area. At the top of Devil's Hill there are also remains of a building that the Russians were supposed to use as a telegraph.
