Hay dos entradas a la Iglesia de Santa María:

Puerta de entrada por Plaza de Cardenal Ferriz.- Puerta de madera muy llamativa, sobre todo los dias con sol, ya que ha sido contrachapada con planchas de metal y pintada de purpurina, además de haberla decorado con grabados en la propia chapa, puede verse los escudos de la iglesia con lunas en cuarto menguante. En las dos aperturas más pequeñas, tambien bellamente decoradas podemos ver en la izquierda el escudo con la torre del castillo y a la derecha la fuente "Fons signatus" “Como fuente escondida que da aroma a las flores y frescura a los frutos. Hortus conclusus, fons signatus” ( Ct 4, 12). Se puede ver tambien que esta puerta se restauró en el año 2003.

Puerta de entrada por Calle San Hipólito.- Puerta de madera de doble hoja, contrachapada y cosida con puntillas y remaches decorativos, dispone de dos aperturas más pequeñas para facilitar el uso, está, al igual que la otra, con decoraciones grabadas en la propia chapa.

La iglesia de Santa María de Cocentaina (Provincia de Alicante) se fundó en el siglo xiii, fue reconstruida en el xvi y reedificada en 1666 en estilo barroco, contando con obras de reformas y ampliaciones de los siglos xviii y xix.
