"Tegenover “Het Oude Posthuys” staat op het plein, de Eltener Markt, ook een fontein, of eerder een watertappunt: op de gemetselde pilaar staat een posthoorn afgebeeld als referentie naar de toenmalige functie van het posthuis. Tussen het jaartal 1932 en een wat primitieve weergave van een paardenhoofd staat een modern waarschuwingsbordje dat het water geen drinkwater is… Mooie smeedijzeren waaiers zijn aan weerszijden van de fontein geplaatst."

Opposite “Het Oude Posthuys” on the square, the Eltener Markt, there is also a fountain, or rather a water tap: a post horn is depicted on the brick pillar as a reference to the former function of the post house. Between the year 1932 and a somewhat primitive representation of a horse's head is a modern warning sign that the water is not drinking water... Beautiful wrought iron fans are placed on either side of the fountain."
