Old spider mill on the hill in Myllymäki. The hill is home to four historic windmills.
The spider mill is very special and actually looks like a spiderweb. The red color of the mill is the most normal color of mills in the country. It has probably been used for grinding grain.
"Spider mill
Built in the Koijärvi house in the village of Vasarainen in Rauman maalaiskunta in approx. 1909. Built and owned by Frans Kallio. Relocated to the village of Ottila for Juho Ottila in 1920.

Myllymäki is a park paid for by Johan Nordström who was born in the town in 1860. He later became a rich merchant and wanted to pay tribute to his childhood town by donating money to establish Myllymäki. As there had previously been windmills on the site, the park had to be able to display windmills again. That is why there are four different historic windmills in the area. They originate from different parts of the country and have been moved to the park. The park was completed in 1945.
The four windmills on the hill are a post mill, spider mill, smock mill and hollow post mill.
All windmills in Myllymäki were renovated for summer 2018 with a donation from a private person.
