The "Government Park" referred to on the postcard is the grounds of the Banff Park Administration Building, a large site that includes large lawns, the reflecting pool in front, and the 4-acre "Cascades of Time" rock gardens behind the Administration Building.

The trees have grown in the 80+ years since the postcard photo was taken.
