An Ontario Department of Highways survey monument along Centre St in Napanee. This section of road was also Kings Highway 41 which travelled north from Napanee to Highway 17 in Pembroke. Like most Provincial Highways, the "southern section of Highway 41 was decommissioned as a King's Highway during the highway downloading of 1997-1998". Source: (visit link)

The concrete column should be easy to spot while you stop at Wendy's for a Frosty. Or maybe not - on my 11km walk through Napanee I did stop at Wendy's and did buy a Frosty but failed to notice the monument. It was only on my walk back along Centre St N that I noticed it.

As usual, this MTO disc does not appear in the COSINE or NRCan databases.
Unique Designation: 5
