Located along the southern fence line of Oakwood Cemetery at 301 Oakwood St, Grand Ledge, MI 48837 is the veterans memorial section. There are howitzers and Vietnam memorials. Included is a 100 pound Parrot rifle. Eagle Scout James Crabtree placed his project here which is the keystone to the Walk of Honor where donated bricks and pavers have been placed around the base of the large cannon. He included a quote from General Douglas MacArthur: "Let us pray that peace be now restored to the world, and that God will preserve it always."
