Sund's church is Aland's largest stone church and was built in the latter part of the 13th century.
Sund's church is surrounded by a cemetery and is located by the lake Västra Kyrksundet. The nearest village is Sundby. The building style of the church is very similar to the churches on Gotland. The church was extended in several stages. In the 1300s, the church tower was extended.
Inside the church you can see several church paintings from the 14th century depicting various saints.
Sund´s Church belongs to the denomination The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland, which is the official name of Finland's largest religious community.
