According to the folks at Larry & Kristi's, the bakery's story began with great-grandpa Vincent, who ended up behind bars after doing business with Al Capone. Finding opportunity in adversity, Vincent learned a new skill while doing time. Once released, he started baking and never stopped!
Larry & Kristi's is a fourth-generation, veteran-owned donut shop. It began life as a full-line bakery, but over time the donuts became everyone's favorite choice, so the owners wisely chose to specialize in donuts and other breakfast pastries.
Should you want to visit (and you should!), Larry & Kristi's is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. The earlier you come in, the better the selection will be. They make vegan donuts on Saturdays, for those who want them. Also check out their special Donut of the Month!
