"El castillo Bermejo también denominado Castillo Roche o El Roig situado en el municipio de Ibi (Provincia de Alicante, España)sobre un cerro próximo a la población es una construcción defensiva de arquitectura Islámica.
Se encuentra situado en la parte más alta sobre un cerro cuya altura topográfica alcanza 800 metros. El cerro está prácticamente aislado, lindando con un barranco, mientras que por otra parte enlaza con el casco urbano de Ibi.
Por las características morfológicas que se observan puede tratarse de un recinto cuyo origen se sitúa en época árabe, con reformas y transformaciones posteriores. Estas reformas se deben a la inclusión de una ermita dedicada a Santa Lucía.
Por el lado sur queda a pie de ladera el casco urbano más antiguo. El sendero que conduce al castillo y a la ermita está flanqueado por un calvario con casilicios con las estaciones del vía crucis y cipreses.
La planta del castillo se encuentra muy alterada en la actualidad, debido a la construcción de la ermita de Santa Lucía. Los escasos restos que se conservan evidencian que fue cuadrangular, siendo en la actualidad prácticamente irreconocible.
De aquellas estructuras solo quedan algunos tramos de muro de tapial y el aljibe.
Es la ermita la construcción que domina sobre las preexistentes, su fachada presenta un pórtico de composición clasicista realizado en sillería.
Tan solo quedan escasos restos sin detalles monumentales. Se trata de un recinto transformado, con escasos elementos originales y alterado por la presencia de la ermita.

The hermitage is the construction that dominates over the pre-existing ones, its façade presents a portico of classicist composition made of ashlar masonry.
Only few remains remain without monumental details. It is a transformed enclosure, with few original elements and altered by the presence of the hermitage.
