EN: The Ortenberg Ruin (Château de l'Ortenbourg in French) is located on a rocky ridge on an eastern spur of the Vosges Mountains a few kilometers west of Scherwiller.

Those who take a mountain hike to the castle at night (there is no road) have a view over the villages in the Rhine plain, especially Scherwiller and the industrial areas of the city of Sélestat but also further east to the edge of the Black Forest on the German side of the Rhine.

FR: Le château de l'Ortenbourg se trouve sur une arête rocheuse sur un contrefort oriental des Vosges, à quelques kilomètres à l'ouest de Scherwiller.

Ceux qui entreprennent une randonnée nocturne jusqu'au château (il n'y a pas de route) ont une vue sur les villages de la plaine du Rhin, surtout Scherwiller et les zones industrielles de la ville de Sélestat, mais aussi plus à l'est jusqu'à la lisière de la Forêt-Noire, du côté allemand du Rhin.

DE: Die Ruine Ortenberg (französisch Château de l’Ortenbourg) befindet auf einem Felsgrat auf einem östlichen Ausläufer der Vogesen ein paar Kilometer westlich von Scherwiller.

Wer nachts eine Bergwanderung zur Burg unternimmt (es gibt keine Strasse) hat einen Ausblick über die Dörfer in der Rheinebene, vor allem Scherwiller und die Industriegebiete der Stadt Sélestat aber auf weiter in den Osten bis zum Rand des Schwarzwaldes auf der deutschen Seite des Rheins.
