Several gargoyles along the top of the south wall of St John the Baptist church, Glastonbury.
The church has been described as "one of the most ambitious parish churches in Somerset", and dates from the 15th century, replacing an earlier one from the 12th century. According to legend, the original church was built by Saint Dunstan in the tenth century.
The gargoyles are depictions of the typical grotesque styles of the time, and look like medieval representations of possibly lions, monkeys(?), and griffin.
