The preserved and well-maintained barn traces its origins to is construction in 1840 by a Mr. Sellen. The barn remained in use until 1994 when it was moved to its current location from the south side of nearby Rte 31. Restoration was completed by 1998.

The barn now houses agricultural artifacts and tools from the mid 19th to the late 20th century. It is open to the public every third Sunday from May to October. It is also open two days a week during July and August.
