The mission of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church is to gather around God’s Word and His Sacraments to be fed, so that we can grow as we become increasingly focused on being a Christ-centered church that invites people from our neighborhood to join us as we go about our spiritual, educational, social, and outreach activities.
Vision:
We hope that Christ Lutheran Church’s worship attendance will grow as we become increasingly focused on being a Christ-centered church that invites people from our neighborhood to join us as we go about our spiritual, educational, social, and outreach activities.
Goals:
Trusting in God’s presence and guidance as we live out our mission, we set the following goals:
Develop a growing appreciation of cultural diversity so that we can relate increasingly to the people of our parish neighborhood.
Increase the ethnic and cultural diversity of our membership and of participants in the congregation’s activities.
Increase worship attendance by inviting neighbors, co-workers, relatives, and friends.
Develop more Christ-centered spiritual, educational, social and outreach activities.
Develop groups around lay-led Bible study and prayers throughout the congregation.
Help each other discover, develop, and use our spiritual gifts.
Build up, support, and encourage each other to commit ourselves to participate in congregational activities beyond worship."
