"In 2007, when the 125th anniversary of the poem "A Lúa de Cangas", by Manuel Mártínez González, was celebrated, the Council discovered a commemorative plaque on a monolith in Rodeira where one of the once stanzas of the poem is remembered: "
Nunca vin nin verei noites/ máis lindas e feiticeiras/ que as que nas praias cangueiras/ coa prealúa se ven!/ ¡Que lus, nunca Deus me dera!/ ¡Que lus e que resplandores!/ Galicia non ten cantares/que poidan antalos ben

EN : never see or will see nights/ more beautiful and enchanting/ than those on the cangueira beaches/ coa prealúa se veni!/ What a light, God never gave me!/ What a light and what a radiance!/ Galicia doesn't have to sing/what a poidan antalos ben"."
