The Dakar Gorée Maritime Liaison is a public transport service set up by the State of Senegal, the management of which is entrusted to the SOCIETE NATIONALE DU PORT AUTONOME DE DAKAR (SONAPAD) according to convention n° 0174 of October 17, 1973 .
It is responsible, under the exclusive authority of the Director General of the Autonomous Port of Dakar, of ensuring, with the rowboats or any other adequate means made available, the service of the island of Gorée, under the required security conditions.
As such, it implements a policy that aims to:
ensure the operation and maintenance of the launches in accordance with the applicable regulations regarding the safety and security of passenger vessels;
ensure continuity of service by focusing on the punctuality and regularity of rotations;
build customer loyalty by strengthening the Maritime Dakar-Gorée link in its role as a showcase;
accompany the state of Senegal in the promotion of the Gorée destination, an essential tourist site in Senegal classified as a world heritage site by UNESCO.
