Johannes (von) Nepomuk oder Johannes von Pomuk (lateinisch Joannes de Pomuk, tschechisch Jan Nepomucký oder Jan z Pomuku, * um 1350 in Pomuk bei Pilsen; † 20. März 1393 in Prag) war ein böhmischer Priester und Märtyrer. Er wurde 1729 von Papst Benedikt XIII. heiliggesprochen. Die Jesuiten erhoben ihn 1732 zu ihrem zweiten Ordenspatron. Nepomuk gilt als Brückenheiliger und Patron des Beichtgeheimnisses. Der Standort hier liegt an der Ebensfelder Hauptstraße, wo eine kleine Steinbrücke über den Kellbach ist.

John (of) Nepomuk or John of Pomuk (Latin Joannes de Pomuk, Czech Jan Nepomucký or Jan z Pomuku, * c. 1350 in Pomuk near Pilsen; † 20 March 1393 in Prague) was a Bohemian priest and martyr. He was canonised by Pope Benedict XIII in 1729. The Jesuits elevated him to their second patron saint in 1732. Nepomuk is considered a bridge saint and the patron saint of confession. The site here is on Ebensfeld's main road, where a small stone bridge crosses the Kellbach here.
