The Hanwell Cenotaph is a 20 foot tall internally illuminated metal obelisk located on the front greenspace of the Hanwell Place Rural Community Centre.

The cenotoph was completed and dedicated shortly before Remembrance Day, November 2022. The artist is Pete Powning.

This memorial commemorates the service of Hanwell's veterans to their country and community. It is a reminder of their sacrifice and dedication. It is also a celebration of community and the community's connection to and appreciation of those who served.

The bronze relief that embraces the obelisk was formed using memorabilia provided by veterans and community members.
