The Place:
This store is a brick American Foursquare style structure. Built in 1901 a remodel to the original structure which was built in 1870. The structure is 6 bay wide, and six bays deep. I can find no information on the dormer space or what it was used for.
The wrought iron balcony on the send floor was once used a lot, since the four apartments on that floor housed four of the Iffrig families. If you look close at the window there, you can see it was once a door, and is now bricked in to create a window.
This is called "Ole Town" today be was the original "downtown" of St. Peers until late in the 1960's.
